What You Need to Know
-
I've decided I want a tattoo....Now what?Once you've decided on your tattoo concept and chosen an artist to work with, the first step is requesting an appointment. This does NOT secure an appointment, but rather, enables the artist to see your tattoo concept and develop a price estimate for you. Once the artist receives your request, he/she will contact you with a price estimate and provide you with the information needed to leave a monetary deposit. If you agree to the estimate, the next step is to provide a deposit. This will secure your appointment time and start the process of the artist designing your tattoo. PLEASE NOTE: Artists DO NOT design anything without having a deposit first. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE and go towards the overall price of the tattoo. Also note that price ESTIMATES are subject to change

How do I care for my new tattoo?Immediately after finishing your tattoo, your artist will place a protective bandage over it. Ideally, this bandage should be left on for 2 hours. Then, the bandage should be removed and the tattoo should be cleaned. Tattoos should be cleaned two times per day. Tattoos should ONLY be cleaned with lukewarm water and UNSCENTED ANTIBACTERIAL soap. The tattoo should be patted dry. Once dry, a VERY THIN layer of A&D ointment can be applied over the tattoo for the first 3 days. Starting on the 4th day, UNSCENTED lotion can be applied after cleaning and frequently throughout the day to help relieve itching. It is IMPERATIVE that you do NOT touch your fresh tattoo excessively or with dirty hands. Also NO SCRATCHING OR PICKING THE SCABS (regardless of how itchy it may be). Tattoos should also NOT be exposed to direct sunlight, sand, or chlorine water while healing.

How should I prepare for getting tattooed? We recommend you get a good night's sleep and eat a full meal before coming to get tattooed. Do NOT drink alcohol in excess 24 hours prior to getting tattooed. Alcohol will thin the blood and affect the tattoo ink pigment, the overall tattoo design, and healing process. Please also bring a soda or other drink containing sugar. Sugar is your friend if you start to feel woozy during the tattoo process.
